Unto the populace of the Mists, the West and the Knowne World do Prince Roland and Princess Audrey extend an invitation to witness the selection of the Their Heirs by right of arms. Their Tournament will be held at beautiful Bolado Park in The Barony of Darkwood.

#5: Winged: Take a flight of fancy! Some special Roman jewelry comes to mind! How about some prose of Michel and his fight? What ingredients come from winged beasts? Those illumination’s would be a fanciful feat with winged creatures in its designs!
#6: Horned & Tusked: Oh leather workers and customers I’m looking at you! What about inspiration in armor or hats? What creature’s horns would turn up in a bottle? What drinking vessels could be made or etched items of stories?
More Information: While this site is flat there are gophers and invariably gopher holes. Electric wheelchairs should be doable. There are showers and flushies on site. RV space is available and should be directly booked with the park.
Terrain Description: This is a fairgrounds site, but the area we use has a lot of gopher holes. Be careful of your ankles

From south of Gilroy: Take the best route to US-101 N to CA-156 E toward San Juan Batista/ Hollister. Turn right onto Union Road. Turn right onto Airline Hwy/ CA-25. *Follow CA-25 through Tres Pinos and the fairgrounds will be on your right.
From the Bay Area: Take US-101 S. Take the CA-25 exit toward Hollister CA-25 merging right going into Hollister. Turn left onto Santa Ana Road. Turn right onto Fairview Road. Turn left onto Airline Hwy/ CA-25 and follow CA-25 through Tres Pinos and the fairgrounds will be on your right.
From I-5: Take CA-33 exit at Santa Nella towards Gilroy. Turn West onto CA-33. Merge onto CA-152 West toward Gilroy. Turn left onto CA-156/ Pacheco Pass Hwy. Turn left onto Fairview Road. Turn left onto Airline Hwy/ CA-25 and follow CA-25 through Tres Pinos and the fairgrounds will be on your right.

Please enter the park through the West Gate (where Crown and Coronet tournaments are usually held) — it is a sliding chain link fence gate. Look for the SCA signs! Be aware that since we are using this gate there will be a Hastings lock in place for all but the 2 hours the gate will be officially open. Please message if you need the combination.
If you are entering/exiting the park and the gate is closed, please make sure to close it behind you. There is a vagrancy issue and the park has asked us not to let extra people onto the property.

From I-80: Take CA-12 West toward Napa/Sonoma. Turn right onto CA-29 North. Veer slightly to the right on CA-221 North toward Downtown Napa/Lake Berryessa. Turn right at Imola Ave., and the entrance to the park is approximately 1 mile on the right.
From US-101: Take CA-37 East toward Napa/Vallejo. Turn left on Ca-29 North/Sonoma Blvd. Veer slightly right on CA-221 North toward Downtown Napa/Lake Berryessa. Turn right at Imola Ave. and the entrance to the park is approximately 1 mile on the right.
From CA-12/121 (Carneros Hwy): Turn left on CA-29 North. Exit Imola Ave. and turn right at the light. Stay straight on Imola for 2.5 miles (approximately 6 minutes and 5 lights). Entrance to the park will be on the right.

A&S “Insects”
It’s all amount those creepy crawlers! Those many legged or flying, honey making lovely’s. From decorating your garb or jewels made up from their bodies, ground into paints and dyes; make a tasty treat, or teach a class on libations. There so much more to these than one might think.
A&S “Hoofed”
What can we say about our hard working friends? Let’s see some saddles or spurs!! What tasty treats can be made from the belly’s of some or the skins of others! So many creatures have hooves, some even mythical! Come out and tell us a tale!
Silver Spoon
“My Cup Runneth Over”. Dishes, or drinks, that can be served in a cup.

In the evening, we will be doing something different and going back a couple of decades when revels were the thing! In lieu of a feast, there will be a dinner break where the populace can go off site or picnic on the grounds and then return for a grand revel where folks can kick up their heels, socialize, share a drink, and listen to fine music.

Arts and Sciences Competitions: Creatures Great and Small
All Artists, Bards, Calligraphers, Natural Scientists, Poets, Rubricators, Singers, Troubadours, etc. are invited to pursue the arts by creating displays of their work and teaching and discussing the work, whether it is a material object, an intellectual one, or a story of history.

Ahh, those shine armored critters! So ready for battle! Let them inspire you in your armor or garb inspiration or a dance of the fish? A song to teach?
* Competition Four: Furs
Oh so soft! The things that keep us warm and let us show our Royal roots! Design or be inspired by the furs of the past! A trim of a hat? Were critters with fur revered for there meat and bones in a stew? A mask or a helm with a crest would be a spectacular display! Or other skinned ideas!

From Highway 17 and points north: Take Highway 17 south toward Santa Cruz. As you approach town you reach the interchange with Highway 1. Do not go north to Half Moon Bay. Do not go south to Soquel and Monterey. Get off on Ocean Blvd. Take Ocean to Water Street. Turn left on Water Street. Go 1/2 mile to N. Branciforte. Turn right. The Masonic Temple is the second building on the left next to Branciforte Elementary School.
From Highway 1 and points south: Come north on Highway 1. As you approach town, get off at Morrissey Blvd. Follow the exit over the Highway, traveling west. Travel two signals to Water Street where you will turn right. Travel alongside of the west side of the elementary school. Go to N. Branciforte Ave. and turn left. The Masonic Temple is the second building on the left next to Branciforte Elementary School.
