Come join the Barony of the Westermark at the annual Westermark Madness on Sunday, 25-September 2022 at the San Francisco Archery Range in Pacifica, CA. This year’s merriment includes Heavy and Rapier fighting as well as Archery, A&S classes, fun, and a potluck feast. Gate opens at 9:00 am and the site closes at 6:30 pm (~sunset). More detailed information can be found on the Westermark Madness 2022 Website.
LOTS of fun for everyone! Chivalric combatants, challenge your friends to become the next Thug or Shepherd, or maybe you want to team up with a comrade in arms and try your hand as a two headed troll. Lots of Rapier scenarios will be held too, for the opportunity to be the next Sharp of the Westermark. Archers can enjoy some novelty shoots and other shoots to find the Hood of the Westermark! Artists can have fun with the pumpkin carving competition and enjoy some of our A&S classes taking place.
There will be a potluck style early dinner that will take place after the tournaments and court concludes. If you are able, please bring a side dish or dessert to share, large enough to serve 4 to 8 persons and the Barony will provide the main course. Please make an ingredients list available for those with food allergies. The Barony will provide shredded chicken, pulled pork and roast beef as prepared by our own Baroness Alistair!
Please try to carpool as there is limited parking. We want many people to come, so join the day trip together! Bring sun shades, chairs and tables.
Bring your own potable water – no water on site. Porta potty will be available (We are not that heathenish)
Have Questions? See the Westermark Madness 2022 Website for detailed information, schedules, and driving directions. Also contact Master Sean Tracy of Newbury (tnewby27@gmail.com).

Unfortunately, this year the reigning Archery Champion is unavailable to host the event on the normal date with the Equestrian Championship. So, he has secured the Windy Meads Range. All skill levels are welcome to come out and shoot. Come out and and shoot for fun even if you don’t want to compete. Come out and picnic and cheer on the competitors! Bring a sack lunch and maybe a chair. The overall shoot will definitely be scored as a GAT, a Grand Archery Tournament, but the exact elements are not yet known. The winner of this championship will serve as Kingdom Champion for 1 year, stepping up at Twelfth Night. They should be prepared to meet all archery challenges and agree to run the shoot to be held during the following Fall.

Live from the West Kingdom, Collegium Occidentalis is back with In Person Classes. We will have three classrooms and four additional rooms for classes. We also have room on the field for heraldic voice classes, martial demonstrative classes, dance classes and a day long and a scribal arts workshop pavilion. (The field also includes a gazebo in case of inclement weather.) Sadly, we do not have access to the kitchen so there will be no hands-on cooking classes and no feast. This is a dry site.

Have you heard the tinkling of bells on the breeze, seen mushroom rings popping up throughout the fields, hear the music drifting through the leaves of the ancient oak trees, or perhaps feel the mists that swirl and dance between sea and land, marsh and forest. Can you see the shadowy figures gathering?
Ahhh the space between the worlds call. There is a rumor the veil will be open for one night. Would you dare to enter?
The Lady of the White Hart has been called upon to once again sound the horn, this time to gather the courts, at a magical woodland hall, resplendent in gold and silver, suns and moons, oak leaves and holly. A place of magic and mischief.
Mortals and fae are invited to compete, game, dance, feast and frolic. Goblins watch with hungry eyes while dryads and beasties move through the woodlands beckoning you to follow.
Are you ready to answer the call and experience the splendors of the fae realm? Well now is your chance. Visit us at the Midwinter Fae Fête hosted by the Shire of Wolfscairn.
