Prince Kean and Princess Katherine welcome all in a grand tournament to decide Our successors. We would encourage the fighters and the populace in general to display banners, and/or other displays of heraldry. It is not required, but it would please Us greatly.
There will be a Princess’s Tea. HRH Katherine will supply some refreshments, all are welcome to come enjoy and socialize.
The Mad Dog Prize Tourney that often happens on Sunday will have a special addition: the Consorts will need to be present, as HRH Katherine would have them introduce their fighters and speak a few words about why they have chosen to grant favor on their particular fighter.
Arts & Sciences:
— Practical Science – Pouches, any time/place/media
— Technical Science – Tools – metal, bone, etc
Entries are due by 1 pm in the A&S pavilion, but may be dropped off earlier. Please pick them up before last court.
There will be a display table available for those who wish to show the fruits of their winter labors. Displays are a great icebreaker and allow new people to see just how much fun you can have and what great things you can learn via the Society.
Silver Spoon: “Foods served in Lenten times”. Written documentation is not required, but please be prepared to discuss your process, any redactions, what worked/what didn’t. The participants will be the judges. We will meet promptly at 1:00 p.m. in the A&S  pavilion
Saltatoris Nebularum: Dance competition after 5th round on Saturday, please keep an ear out for the heralds’ shout. The dance will be Lauro (music La Spagna), a stately 15th century dance.
More timely information concerning fires will be released closer to the day of the event. Fire regulations will be posted at the gate – please check there as you arrive.

Mists Spring Coronet @ San Benito County Fairgrounds
Mar 31 – Apr 2 all-day

Friday March 31st, 2017 to Sunday April 2nd, 2017

Tres Pinos, California

Come all gentles and witness the pageantry of chivalry, the breathtaking examples of skills finely honed and share in the companionship of society members from all around.

Princeps Antonii Machinevik and Pricepessa Helga Skaldmaer will hold a tournament to decide Their heirs. Your Principality Royals have thought long and hard on ways to challenge the great and skilled fighters of the Mists. Their tournament format is as follows:

Tournament Format:

  • Double elimination.
  • It is strongly encouraged that in the 3rd round you use great weapons in your matches. Limited weapons and sets of gauntlets are available to borrow for this round.
  • Final match – 5 rounds, best three of the five
Each round will require each combatant to choose a weapon style not previously used.
Combatants are encouraged to match or counter weapons styles as mutually agreed upon.

    • Bucklers do not count as shields
    • Using a Madu or broken lance or spear in combination with a sword can only be done once; the combination of either listed long weapon and sword counts as Florentine. If you can kill someone with the device in your offhand, by kingdom convention, it counts as a distinct round and cannot be repeated.
    • His Highness, Prince of the Mists, encourages and promotes weapons depth as much as possible.
  • Weapon choice constraints:

Princess’s Tea

Her Highness has generously declared her intention to hold a Princess’s Garden Tea. This begins as soon as the Rose field is opened. It will feature Kuub as a game for all to join in. Silly hats are encouraged. Extra bonus points will be awarded for unicorn references and cookies. The Princess’s Garden Tea will be at the Royal Pavilion.
