DESCRIPTION:West Kingdom (Elk Grove\, CA) \nTheir\, as of yet unborn\, Royal Majesties invite you to attend and participate in the crown tournament of succession! When the future royals come of age\, we will provide you with more details (by mid-August). During this window of uncertainty\, now that we will be doing our best to plan for a fabulous day of fighting and celebration. There will be livestock and we are close to moving water.\n(Better directions coming) Take your best route to Highway 99 heading to Elk Grove. If heading North\, exit right onto Grant Line Road heading East. If heading South\, exist Kamerrer/Grant Line and turn left onto Grant Line Road heading East.\nOnce on Grant Line Road (in Elk Grove) heading east\, drive for approximately 1 mile. Look for a large warehouse building that is painted in rectangles of teal\, white and 2 shades of grey. Go just past the building and turn into what appears to be the parking lot\, look for the SCA signs starting here. Stay to the left and transition to the gravel road that continues beyond\, you will be heading South at this point.\nYou will continue on this gravel road for approximately 1 mile\, follow the next SCA sign to the field the event is being held in. Continue another 1/2 mile to the event site. \nSite Information:\nSite Accessibility: Cell Phone Reception\nTerrain Description: This is an active ranch\, we are using a pasture that is adjacent to a running river. There are gravel roads around the site area\, but not through it. As long as the site is dry\, we can drive on the pasture\, but there may be ruts to avoid. The ground is likely to be a little rough\, and the grass will be mowed by the cattle!\nBodies of water on/near site: River\nInsects or wild animals to be aware of on/ near site: It’s a working ranch\, so yes. DESCRIPTION:Come join the Barony at Westermark Madness – Swashbuckling Shenanigans!\nWe have much whimsy in store! Heavy & Rapier fighting! Archery! Art! Challenge your friends to become the next Thug! Will you be the next Shepherd\, or will you let your arrows fly to be the next Hood? \nSomething fun for everyone! Archers can enjoy some novelty shoots and let’s not forget there’s an opportunity for a rapier fighter to be the next Sharp of the Westermark! There will be A&S Classes! And games for everyone! \nThere will be a potluck style early dinner that will take place after the tournaments and court conclude. If you are able\, please bring a side dish or dessert to share\, large enough to serve 4 to 8 persons\, and the Barony will provide the main course. Please have an ingredients list available for those with food allergies. \nPlease try to carpool as we want many people to be able to attend and parking is limited.\nBring your own potable water – no water on site. Porta-potties and a hand washing station will be available. Please also bring sunshades\, chairs\, and tables. \nHave Questions? Turn left onto Sharp Park Rd\, At the bottom of hill make a left onto Lundy Way (before the bridge)\nFrom the south (coast side): Take your best route to CA Hwy 1 northbound from Half Moon Bay\, exit at Sharp Park Rd and take an immediate right onto Lundy Way.
