Fighter Practices within the Principality
Here are the fighter practices taking place in branches of the Principality of the Mists, including the rapier and archery practices that I know about.
I would like to include other practices - such as other light weapons (javelin, etc.) and siege weapons - where such exist.
Always check with a branch's Marshal, designated contact person, or Seneschal before going for the first time, in case there has been some change in time or location.
And please let me know about your local fighter practice if it is not listed here, or if the information below is incorrect.
NOTE: These are organized more-or-less from South to North within the Principality
South Bay and Points South (San Benito, Monterey, Santa Cruz, and Santa Clara Counties)

Directions
From the South and San Jose Area:
Take your best route to Hwy 1 North
Left at the intersection of River Street and Hwy. 1
Proceed through three stop lights, the last of which will be at Water Street
Go straight through the next stop sign--which is an oddball intersection with a Well Fargo Bank kitty-corner to the intersection
Just past the Well Fargo bank is the right hand turn into the parking structure
Go up to the third floor of the structure.
Both practices meet rain or shine. In case of rain, they move down one floor so that they are under cover.

Directions
From the West (the Coast):
Take your bext rout to Hwy 156 east to Prunedale
From Hwy 156 go south on US-101
Drive about a mile to Orchard Lane
Turn left on to Orchard Lane (yes, left across the northbound traffic)
Drive to end of the lane
House is white with blue trim, on the right
From the North (San Jose Area):
Take US-101 south to Prunedale, just north of Salinas
Turn left on to Orchard Lane (yes, left across the northbound traffic)
Drive to end of the lane
House is white with blue trim, on the right
From the South:
Take US-101 North to Prunedale past Salinas
Turn right on Orchard Lane
Drive to end of the lane
House is white with blue trim, on the right

Target Archery Practice
third Sunday of each month, 2:00-4:00 PM
San Francisco Archers, Pacifica
Directions
From San Francisco
Take 280 South to Highway 1, go south to Pacifica. Take the Sharp Park Road, Fairway Drive exit and make a right onto Fairway Drive. Go across the freeway and make a right onto Lundy (not marked), travel 100 yards and make a left at the sign.
From the Peninsula
North on US-101 North towards San Francisco. Take the I-380 West/San Bruno exit (I-280). Take the Avalon Drive/Westborough Blvd exit turn Left on Westborough Blvd. Continue on Sharp Park Road, at the bottom of hill make a left onto Lundy (before the bridge) go through the stop sign. Go 100 yards, make a left at the sign (the one on their homepage).
Will be cancelled due to conflict with other events or bad weather.

Directions
From 880:
Take Stevenson Blvd east about 3 miles. The tennis center will be on your right, after the library, police station and soccer fields. There is a light at Gallaudet Dr. at the entrance to the tennis center.
From 680:
Take the North Mission Blvd. going north. Turn left on Stevenson Blvd. The tennis center will be on your left at the traffic signal at Gallaudet Dr.

Fuller Park, in the City of Napa
Directions:
Take Highway 29 into Napa.
Turn East at First Street Exit and bear to the right. This will put you on California Boulevard.
Stay on this until the "T" intersection at Laurel. Turn left.
You will encounter a 4-way stop sign at Jefferson. Turn left and find a place to park on the
right side of the road (which is Fuller Park).
The practice is located about half way down that side of the park.
Spectators and hecklers are welcome, please bring a chair.
New fighters should see the marshal for instruction, loaner armor and inspection.
Marshals can receive training during local fighter practices. See the marshal or email him at marshal@vinhold.org
Archery Practice

The Northern Mists Archery Guild Chapter
twice a month, scheduled to avoid conflicts with major events
the home of Former Baron & Baroness Joseph & Cassandra
The chapter includes Vinhold, Wolfscairn, Calderium, Champclair and Beacon's Gate. However, anyone who wishes to attend is more than welcome
Space is available for target archer for IKAC/Royal Round scores and if interest warrants, IKCAC practice for target archery
Loaner equipment is available
If it rains, call ahead to make sure practice will still be held. In many cases, if the weather is bad workshops on equipment will be held in the garage. Be prepared for wet grass in the winter.
