Mists Fall Coronet
21st-23rd September 2007

Greetings unto the most Noble Populace of the Principality of the Mists from Leon and Muriel, Prince and Princess of the Mists! Fall Coronet will be upon Us soon.

Here are a few of the FUN things We have planned for this great weekend:

Coronet Tourney and Consort of Love and Honour Tourney

Of course, We will be hosting the Tourney to choose Our Heirs! Lists will close PROMPTLY at 10:30 AM. Invocation will follow soon afterwards. We strongly encourage ALL Mists combatantss to enter Our Lists! No matter what your degree or station. It is an HONOR to lead the Mists and it has been Our joy to serve you all once again! We hope to see MANY veterans of past Coronets (and reigns) gracing the field, and We welcome heartily those for whom this will be their first Coronet experience!

Search your hearts, find your courage and stamina, and come and meet Us upon the List Field! Let Us once again fill the field with noble and worthy combatants and the love and friendship of gracious Consorts!

Fighters from anywhere, you are invited to enter the Tourney for Love and Honor to name your consort, "The Consort of Love and Honour". This tourney will be run conjointly with the Mists Coronet tourney.

For detailed information about the Coronet Tourney and other tournaments at this event
please read the detailed description from Prince Leon

Saturday Bardic

Their Highnesses call on all bards to come and perform. We hope to have multiple venues, including "family friendly" Bardics, as well as some to the traditional Bardic favorites.

Saturday Equestrians

Fellow Equestrians and Horse Lovers, you are invited to join us as we enjoy the companionship of our friends and our noble steeds this Coronet.

We will have IKEqC rings/heads/reeds set up for those wishing to submit scores. There will be a Hands On Horsemanship Class for anyone interested in learning more about horses, how to handle them on the ground and in preparation for riding. And, if there are enough riders, we will hold a timed challenge course and play a few rounds of broom ball! There will be “special” prizes for the “timed challenge” and for the winning team of broom ball. Top Score Winners will be announced in Evening Court.

For those bringing horses to Coronet, there is room to set up corrals and your encampments together near the arena with your rigs close by. The site has potable water. There is a Western competition sized sand arena to play in on Saturday (we don't officially have it for the other days). There are 15 miles of trails at this site. Bring all the usual stuff for caring for your horse. There are dumpsters to dispose of the bedding and manure.

We will invite the members of the group that own/control the campgrounds to participate in our Equestrian activities.

If you have any Equestrian questions, please contact either Lady Zinaida Or’Shinaia (Equestrian Autocrat) or Mistress Collette de Rayncheval (Equestrian Marshall-in-Charge / Mists Equestrian Officer).

The following conventions will apply: (1) the first round will be fought with single weapon; (2) by the third round the contestants must have used an "off-hand defense device"; (3) by the fifth round the contestants must have used "sword and dagger"; and (4) the final round will be two out of three with any weapon combination.

Sunday Roses and Renown

Rattan fighters, Her Highness invites you to come forward and accept Her challenge of the Roses. There will be Knights to fight, and who will be available to give instructions.
